Hello,

Since the Magic Window trick is mostly an OS operation with specially formated images and video formats, is there a way to implement that capability in IN5?

Could be simple gesture based navigation around a static 360° image or video.

OR could use the internal gyro and accelerometer for the magic window trick.

-- and for that matter, anything AR/VR is welcome.

I figure both of these once-novel tricks are now comodities on modern devices...

An image sequence could be produced to create the illusion of 360 degree, VR, or the Magic Window, but looking for a way to support actual spherical images/video -

- on an iPad, the defautl HTML viewer is Safari - which typically has underwhelming support for the emerging VR/360 tech.

Hi,

You can do a 360 Image Rotation with the Image Sequence widget (in5 > Interactive Widgets).

Using the panel is covered in this article:

All browsers on the iPad are technically Safari under the hood. There's no way to load another one.

Even Chrome is loading an instance of Safari under the hood on an iPad.
