This can easily be done with images. Read about the Mark As Thumbnail feature in the help docs: https://ajarproductions.com/pages/products/in5/help.php
This may also be possible with videos (if they're external URLs or attached in a folder using the "Resources" section of the in5 dialog and) if Open External Links in Lightbox is selected.
