Crash when exporting with web fonts

Question

Hi there,

When I try to export a larger Indesign file with websafe fonts or local webfonts Indesign crashes. That does not happen, when I export a small file with less objects.

in5 3.8.16 (when trying to upgrade a error occures "Unable to connect due to unknown error. Please try again later.“)

InDesign 19.5

Mac OS Sonoma 14.3.1

I'm sorry that InDesign is crashing when you try to export. Thank you for sending your InDesign file. I was able to export it without InDesign crashing and without any error.

It may help to export with the latest version of in5, 3.8.20. You can download it from here:

We identified an issue with a recent macOS update that affects license checks. The fix is included in this latest version of in5 in5 version. Updating may also help with the crashing.

If InDesign is still crashing, then try saving the file as an IDML file and back as an INDD file:
