Hiya,

I have used a scrollable frame over lay in indesign cc and there are buttons anchored in the text linking out to hyper links. I have checked that I have the latest version of In5 and I'm using Indesign CC latest update. On export the text is rendered as images but the hyperlink buttons are not working....any ideas?

Thanks Lindsay

Can you send a URL and PM me a link to the zipped output?
Thre interaction in question is in 'we are family' then 'how we do things around here' and it's the poster with the two smiley faces side by side, last poster on the top line. I've also noticed if I change the export to render text as Html the text frames drop their vertical centre align and they look like they change to align bottom which is a bit odd.

Thanks Linds
Thanks for the file and the info, Linds. I'll take a look. :-)
Cool - I've done a work around by creating separate frames and grouping them, then pasting in to frame to use the scrollable frame overlay and it's working with text render set to images. If change the export to render text as Html the text frames still drop their vertical centre align and they look like they change to align bottom which is a bit odd.
The vertical centering is the result of a webkit browser change. I'm working on a fix for that and it will be in an update soon.

I looked at the file in depth and remembered why this is an issue.

If the hyperlinks are overset (as in the case of a scrollable frame), they don't have a position on the page (they're essentially off page), so InDesign cannot provide a position for the link that sits on top of the image. This position is needed for hyperlinks when they're rendered as images (but not when text is rendered as HTML).

Instead of a scrollable frame in this case, I would suggest adding one more State to the MSO, and a "more" button at the bottom of active state that takes you to the "more" state.
