I was asked if I could create a rollover animation for a button, like the ones on this page:

What I did was to apply a scale animation to a photo to work on roll over and reverse on roll off. Then I cut that frame, pasted it into a shape, and made that shape a button. It seems to work fine although I can no longer edit the animation once it's pasted into the shape.

I can't find anyone who's tried this though. Do you think it should work well?

Hi Maurice,

Yes, you can apply an animation to an image that you're using for a button. Here's a tutorial that shows how to set it up. This tutorial shows adding a Pulse animation preset, but you could could apply other presets such as Grow or Rotate instead:
