This means that users will only be able to see my font (Arial) as a series of slightly blurred PNGs. This is a show-stopper for me. My versions of in5 and InDesign are up-to-date. I am exporting on a workstation with a Core i9 Series 10 processor, 64GB of RAM and a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 12GB of RAM.

Hi Nic,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble exporting your document.

Are you using the demo version of in5? If so, it has some limitations including only rendering text as images. Here's more info about the demo version:

As for the crashing, you might try saving an IDML file, saving it as an INDD file, and exporting that. That process can fix minor corruption in a file. Here's more info:

If you're still having trouble exporting, we'd be happy to take a look at your InDesign file for troubleshooting. You can send it to us at:

Oh, and to improve the quality of your text as images, I would recommend checking the dimensions of your layout if you're applying Desktop Scaling. If the exported content is getting scaled up, the text as images and other images may look fuzzy. If that's the case, then consider changing the size of your InDesign pages.
