Change state object in another page

i am trying to achieve the same thing, change the state of an object which is on another page of the document and when i get to that page find it in the condition chosen from the previous page

This post starts out asking how to reset multi-state object (MSO) state on page change, but further down, Kpod asks the reverse, "Is it possible to go back a page and remember the state it was left on?" See is Justin's response there helps.
