Renaming index.html files

Can I rename index.html files in my subdirectory to something more meaningful? eg about.html or contact.html

Best answer
The server will look for the index.html file first. If you have a subdirectory, it will look for any index file in that directory. Renaming the index file could result in broken links so it's not recommended to change the index.html filename.
