Dear in5 Gurus,

One more question for you. We're thrilled to discover the use source image export feature, albeit only for unbound images. This setting has solved the problem of optimizing images and duplicate images, but has caused a rather large problem of degrading the quality of all non source images. In your text here: 

  • Use Source Image (when available) - Copies the source image (i.e., the one shown in the Links panel in InDesign) directly to the output instead of re-rendering. If the source image is not available, a new image is rendered with the default settings.

You reference "If the source image is not available, a new image is rendered with the default settings." Can you please let us know where we can adjust these?

Hi Ross,

The default setting is 72 dpi, usually PNG. The best way to get higher resolution images and Use Source Image is the Object Export Option. You can combine this with Object Styles to save time. More info:
