Can lines be animated to draw on at an angle?

Hi I'm going through the InDesign: Creating Animations course on LinkedIn Learning and I'm on Chapter 5, Lesson 8 "Creating lines that draw". It seems like the trick from the author to draw on angled lines doesn't work with In5 (it works in the interactivity preview).

Yes, it's at an angle. The trick that worked in the course was to draw the line as a horizontal then rotate it. It works in the interactivity preview but In5 doesn't appear to be 'fooled' by the technique.

That technique won't work with in5. You might be able to group the line with an invisible rectangle and apply a rotation animation to the group that is fast and imperceptible.
