I have a massive 2500 page document that is constructed using tiered Master Pages, 3000+ excel links, WordsFlow links, and all kinds of interactivity like buttons, hyperlinks, html code, etc. My problem is that it had to be constructed in facing letter sized spreads to facilitate printing, and I also need to convert it (or export it) to 11" x 17" tabloid in order to be able to output it correctly with In5.
Until recently I had been limping along using your "Merge Spreads" script, which was a slow added step that needed to be performed on every export since it breaks the Master Page workflow. It was at least functioning even though the workflow wasn't great. Unfortunately, it no longer seems to be able to handle my current document size and complex tiered Master Page construction...
InDesign assumes that issues like this are handled at or after export. Is it possible to add an export "spreads" as a single page option like in PDF exports? If so, how long would that take? Do you have any ideas in the mean time as to how I can convert the document from 8.5 x 11 spreads to 11 x 17 tabloids and keep all of the master page, interactive programming and link settings intact? Or simplify the file structure before running your "Merge Spreads" script?
