I'm using the on hover javascript code in indesign that i mentioned in my last question but when exporting my & was converted to an entity code. the word being made into a hyperlink in indesign was 'T&D' but was exported into html was:

<span class="Hyperlink"><a href="myjavscriptHere">T#AM</a>PD</span>

obviously the character conversion ins't ideal but it also only made the first 4 characters a link instead of the whole word. Is there anything i can do to avoid this?

I'm checking with our developer. I'll keep you posted.

Our developer has been looking into the issue. We wanted to confirm that you're using the most recent version of in5, version 3.8.11.

sorry for the very late reply, i missed this update. yes i am on version 3.8.11

Oh, no worries. I can pass this info along to our developer. They did mention that they were trying to reproduce the issue but couldn't. Would you be able to send us a sample InDesign document that recreates the issue? You can send it here:

just sent it over! it should have everything to recreate the issue and the link you posted above to my previous thread shows how i set it up in indesign and js
Awesome! Thanks! :)
Hi Myra, was any progress made in diagnosing this problem?

Hi Austin, I have an update from our developer but not a solution. He said that it is related to associating a hyperlink to the text that contains the & character, provided that in5 is set to Text Rendering: HTML.

And it appears to related to an InDesign bug.

I'm checking to see if he has any recommendations.

Thank you! Since its a fairly rare occurrence it can be dealt with manually for the moment but i appreciate the effort.
You're very welcome. I'll pass along any additional information I get about it.
