I have several simple animations on certain pages, that all execute at the same time (Play Together), and then I add delays in the timing window so that the happen one after the other. Timing is good on the preview window, but when I export as presentation to iPad, the animations happen simultaneously. Any ideas?

in5 is more faithful to the Timing panel settings than the Preview window.

With in5, Play Together means play together.

It should also be supporting any delays, but in a more literal way than InDesign's built-in options that support animation.

If you want the animations to happen one after another, remove the Play Together setting. It's much simpler. ;-)

Then I can't get the slow-moving background image to play as the other animations happen.
There should still be a way to do that. If you want to send me your InDesign file, I'd be happy to take a look.
I sent it a few days ago. Let me know if you find anything.
All of the delays are 1 second and linked. That means they will all play together after about a 1 second delay.

Instead, if you want to keep them linked and start them sequentially, stack the delays, e.g.,

And it will play as you're expecting.
