How to get columns to maintain breaks

In our mutli page books, we current use a master text box with columns.

Is there a way that we can apply "column-fill: auto;" so that I can retain the flow? Right now, the columns are not recogzining the column breaks we set up in indesign.

This was the default in v2 when columns weren't live CSS.

The support for column breaks in CSS isn't great, but I'll do some research and see if it can be added in an update.
I think I found a CSS workaround that should fix this in the next update.

The workaround is applied in version 3.1 and should hopefully maintain your column breaks:
