This quick video shows some of the new things you can now create with in5 (InDesign to HTML5) version 3.1.

There’s a new page transition: Flipbook with Page Peel.

You can see the pages (with live text, animations, and interactivity) curling and peeling in the video below.

NO coding involved. Just a new export option that has been added to in5 Pro subscribers. 😉

This video also shows two other highly requested features that are now available to all subscribers.

  1. Buttons that support live text and variable image quality.
(Buttons in previous versions were almost always 72 ppi images.)
  2. Source images that appear only once in the output. This will help you save file size in your output.

More cool things to help you create awesome content coming soon…

Do you have an ETA on when these new features will be available?

    1. Justin says:

Yes, these features will probably be available in the next 2 months. 🙂

This is a great addition, I currently use Flipbuilder Pro after converting the pages to PDF format from InDesign.
    Nice one Justin

      Thanks, Steve! 🙂

  3. Ryan says:

Agreed, this is a nice addition. We use Flipping Book, which is robust, but does add an additional softward step. Will this be able to have export settings to customize the background, add a table of contents, thumbnails, download/social/analytics buttons/options? (likely not in v1 – but putting it out there 🙂

Also, FlippingBook seems to kill any interactivity that is embedded in an interactive pdf, aside from basic hyperlinks. Perhaps your version will be able to maintain some of those items, like animation, hide/reveal buttons….

    Thanks!

      Hi Ryan,
      Thanks for your feedback.

      in5 already supports the following:
      – Custom backgrounds
      – InDesign Table of Contents
      – Social buttons (with just a click in the export dialog)
      – …and far more interactivity than an interactive PDF can handle 🙂
      – animation
      – buttons
      – object states
      – and more!

The next version will probably also have an option for thumbnails as well.

Make sure you’re signed up for the newsletter, because I think you’ll want to try version 3.1 when it comes out:

Which opensource platform is a better feature-wise have to use for commercial purpose?
